Municipal Auditorium
The City of Slidell’s limited edition Christmas ornament, featuring the new Slidell Municipal Auditorium, will be available for purchase beginning Monday, December 17, at the Department of Cultural & Public Affairs. This year, only 250 of the collectible ornaments were produced. Ornaments are $18 and are available while supplies last
“Many people enjoy collecting these ornaments each year,” said Slidell Mayor Freddy Drennan. “The new design of the Slidell Municipal Auditorium is a great addition to Olde Towne Slidell and it certainly looks stunning on these ornaments. Collectors will not be disappointed.”
A limited number of the city’s previous ornaments, including the 2005 ornament featuring the original Slidell Cultural Center on Erlanger Street, the 2007 ornament featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Griffith Park Gazebo, the 2008 ornament featuring the Slidell Museum, the 2010 ornament featuring the original Slidell Municipal Auditorium and the 2011 ornament featuring the Slidell City Council and Administrative Center are also available for $15.
The ornaments can be purchased at the Department of Cultural & Public Affairs, Suite 304 in the Slidell Technology and Cultural Arts Center at 250 Bouscaren Street. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Ornaments may be paid for with checks or cash.
